Following the most recent government announcements surrounding the roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions, there is an indication that live and large events may be able to resume as of 21st June 2021, ahead of our scheduled festival date of 3rd July 2021.
The Eckington Summer Festival Committee have agreed to hold a meeting in mid-late April, to assess the situation with the most up-to-date information to hand. At this point, a firmer stance will be taken on the viability of our event.
In the meantime, stallholder applications are welcomed for this years’ event. The Committee have, however, due to the current uncertainty, decided to give stallholders the option to register for a pitch, and delay payment until closer to the event (date to be confirmed following the April meeting).
So, if you wish to register to hold a stall at our 2021 event, please head across to the ‘Stallholders’ tab, and fill in an application form.
For any further information that you may need, or to get in touch, complete the form on our website, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your support at this time.
– The Committee
As is to be expected, the Committee have been keeping a close eye on the current developments regarding Covid-19.
In line with current governmental guidance, considering the resulting effect on planning and viability of the event, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Eckington Summer Festival.
We are sorry that this decision has been made, however we hope you will all join us in looking forward to next year’s event, which will be held on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
If you have booked a stall or catering unit at the event, you should have received an email a short while ago.
We thank you all for your continued support, and hope to see you all at the event in 2021.

FAQ Number 10
When should I be there?
If you’re a stallholder, you need to be on site by 12 noon at the latest. The event begins at 1pm tomorrow for the public, but join us whenever you want in the afternoon. We run until 7pm, but the later you leave it the more cool stuff you’ll have missed in our performance arena.
Hope you see you all tomorrow
FAQ Number 8
What about stalls?
Stalls – we have a huge selection for you to wander around. One of our aims is to try and promote local groups and organisations, so you’ll see plenty of local charities and community groups promoting what they do for the community. Please give them your support wherever possible.
We of course have various craft and other stalls, ranging from jewellery to sweets, from exotic animals to jams and chutneys.
We do also have some stall spaces available. If you’re interested in standing, please get in touch via email@example.com, although time is running out
FAQ Number 7
Are dogs welcome?
Welcome? They’re encouraged!
We have dog shows going on throughout the day, including Fly Agility, and competitions where your own four-legged friend can get involved. The categories are: Best Handsome Dog, Best Pretty Bitch, Best 6 Legs, Best Waggy Tail, Best Child Handler, Best Rescue (and of course, Best in Show). Bring your dog and enjoy the fun.
It goes without saying that you are responsible for your dog when in aggendance, including picking up any mess he or she makes.
FAQ Number 6
What’s there for the adults?
Beer. We have a fully licensed bar in attendance (Challenge-25), along with plenty of delicious foods for you to peruse. There are also craft and other stalls, bands and other entertainment and, hopefully, plenty of sun. Ooh – ice cream too!
FAQ Number 5
What’s there for the kids?
We have a number of things going on to keep the little ones occupied. There are funfair rides and attractions, a Laser-Tag dome, lots of sweet treats (sorry) and plenty of craft stalls offering goodies for low cost to keep them happy.
We also have, new for this year, a miniature train they can ride around on – sounds like fun, right?
FAQ Number 4
Is there parking provided?
Yes. Parking is available within 50 yards of the entrance to the event. What’s better, is that it’s completely free! We also have a special disabled section for Blue Badge holders (limited spaces)
