Date Confirmed

This years’ Eckington Summer Festival will be held on Sunday 7th July 2024.

The event has, in the past, always ran on the first Saturday of July, however in an attempt to avoid a clash with England’s Euro 2024 matches, we have decided to change to the Sunday of that same weekend.

Hope to see you all there!

Covid-19 Update

On the back of Monday’s announcement that Covid rules will not be relaxed further in time for our event, the committee has taken the difficult but responsible decision to cancel this year’s festival as we do not have enough manpower to make this a safe event.
The necessary compromises would totally change the nature of the event. Therefore we decided that as we could not give Eckington the festival it loves and deserves, we will see you next year.
Furthermore, public and personal safety has to remain at the forefront of our planning.
If you have booked a stall or catering pitch you will be receiving a email in a short while. Thank you for your continued support and we hope you will support us next year on the 2nd July 2022.

Planning Update

With little over 5 weeks remaining until the planned date for Eckington Summer Festival 2021, there is still a great deal of uncertainty due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

That said, the Committee continue to plan the event with the assumption that social contact restrictions will be lifted, per the proposed government roadmap, on 21st June 2021.

Updates will be posted here as and when they are available.

Thank you for your support.

2021 Update

Following the most recent government announcements surrounding the roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions, there is an indication that live and large events may be able to resume as of 21st June 2021, ahead of our scheduled festival date of 3rd July 2021.

The Eckington Summer Festival Committee have agreed to hold a meeting in mid-late April, to assess the situation with the most up-to-date information to hand. At this point, a firmer stance will be taken on the viability of our event.

In the meantime, stallholder applications are welcomed for this years’ event. The Committee have, however, due to the current uncertainty, decided to give stallholders the option to register for a pitch, and delay payment until closer to the event (date to be confirmed following the April meeting).

So, if you wish to register to hold a stall at our 2021 event, please head across to the ‘Stallholders’ tab, and fill in an application form.

For any further information that you may need, or to get in touch, complete the form on our website, or email eckingtonfestival@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support at this time.

Coronavirus Announcement

As is to be expected, the Committee have been keeping a close eye on the current developments regarding Covid-19.
In line with current governmental guidance, considering the resulting effect on planning and viability of the event, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Eckington Summer Festival.
We are sorry that this decision has been made, however we hope you will all join us in looking forward to next year’s event, which will be held on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
If you have booked a stall or catering unit at the event, you should have received an email a short while ago.
We thank you all for your continued support, and hope to see you all at the event in 2021.
Stay safe.
